Template · Demos & feedback

Show what you shipped. Skip the Zoom.

Demo day is one of the few meetings worth having — except half the team can't make it, and the demos that do happen don't get real feedback. briefpls posts a structured digest of every teammate's shipped work to your channel, and feedback flows in threads instead of a 4 PM call.

What people answer

The prompts.

  • 01

What did you ship this week?

  • 02

Show it (link, loom, or screenshot URL)

  • 03

    What feedback would help? (optional)

Who it's for

Teams of 5–50 where the demo culture is uneven: some weeks half the team shows up, half don't, and the people who'd give the best feedback are the ones who couldn't join.

What gets posted

The digest.

One message in your team channel. Read it on your own time. No meeting, no scroll-back, no follow-up DMs.

Common questions

The stuff people ask.

  • How is this different from a #ship channel?

Same channel, structured. The three prompts mean every post has the description, the link, and the specific ask. No more 'shipped X' with no link, no more 'feedback?' without saying what kind.

  • What if I didn't ship anything this week?

Skip the week — one click. Skipped weeks show up as a quiet '—' in the digest, not public shame.

  • Can people give feedback?

Yes — that's the whole point. Each demo is its own threadable section. Teammates reply in thread, react, link related work. Feedback persists in Slack instead of evaporating after a 4 PM call.

  • Can I post an ad-hoc demo mid-week?

Not yet. Demos go in the weekly digest. We may add ad-hoc demo posting if teams ask — for now, the cadence keeps the noise down.
